Whilst travelling, there’s nothing ruder than strolling up to a bar only to demand a beer loudly in English as you point ignorantly at the beer taps.
So don’t look like a buffoon to the locals – learn how to order a beer in their native language.
You’ll build rapport with staff, possibly gaining vital local knowledge of the best beers and places to go.
Not to mention impressing your partner or travelling buddies in the process.
With this in mind, here’s a useful poster I spotted whilst in a pub:
I’ve since found out this is widely available, even at Amazon.
Excellent! I just saw one of these on Amazon. I think I need one. I do love how beer seems to be an international connection of joy to us all. haha!
The international language of BEER! Probably the cause and solution to war, perhaps?
