Beer Review: Maritime Salted Caramel Porter

Jun 13, 2017 | Beer, Beer Reviews

I’ve been wanting to try a Salted Caramel flavoured beer for a while. Luckily I was gifted one by my Fiancée and I wasted no time in giving it a try.

Maritime Salted Caramel Porter 5.5%

Brewed By: Meantime Brewing Company, Greenwich (For Marks & Spencer)

I was hoping for big things from this red-tinged beer brewed by Meantime, but I was left disappointed. The body was too thin, and lacking in the deep salted caramel flavour we all know and love.

Still, you could easily enjoy a number of these without any problem, and the balance was good. Not sickly in any way, shape or form as you may have expected.

3/5

Where to buy: Marks & Spencer

Any other salted caramel beers available in the UK to try? Let me know in the comments and I will hunt them down.

Feels like a while since we’ve explored a new place due to COVID and the toddler, so a visit to the Cotswolds came at the perfect time this spring.

After Improssibrew present their beers on Dragon’s Den, I decided to try it for myself to see if this so-called ‘social blend’ worked.
