During some home renovations I discovered a secret stash of some interesting old beer mats whilst clearing out the loft.
I’ve no idea how long they’d been up there, but I’ve decided to keep them and add to the fledgling collection.
Tegestology is defined as the practise of collection beer mats, so perhaps I’ll become a true tegestologist, in time.
Here’s a few interesting beer mats from the collection:
- Everything was called a bitter back in the day..
- Tetley Mild
- Unusual Heineken Beer Mat
- Trophy Bitter
- Younger’s IPA

- Ind Coope’s Burton Ale
- Strongarm – Strong Northern Ale
- William Yonuger’s Scotch Bitter
- Unusual to see a Barley Wine in a beer mat
- Ace of Clubs – Special Ale
